A group of citizens of Oyo State has written an open letter to Governor Seyi Makinde, requesting that he provides official vehicles to all traditional rulers in the state. The request is based on a precedent set by the former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who presented new cars to 36 traditional rulers in 2018.

The open letter was signed by Alhaji Adebimpe Kakabijawuta and Mr. Ajibade Yinusa, representing the concerned citizens of Oyo State.

The citizens argue that providing official vehicles would boost the morale of traditional rulers, enhance their ability to carry out their duties, and demonstrate the government’s commitment to promoting the traditional institution. They also highlight the importance of traditional rulers in promoting Oyo State’s rich cultural heritage and values.

OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE

Dear Governor Makinde,

We, the concerned citizens of Oyo State, are writing to bring to your attention the welfare of our traditional rulers. As you may recall, your predecessor, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, presented new cars to 36 traditional rulers in 2018 to enhance their status and address logistical challenges.

We humbly request that your administration considers providing official vehicles to all traditional rulers in Oyo State. This gesture would boost their morale, enhance their ability to carry out their duties, and demonstrate your commitment to promoting the traditional institution.

As custodians of our cultural heritage, traditional rulers play a vital role in promoting Oyo State’s rich traditions and values. Providing official vehicles would foster a positive relationship between the government and traditional rulers, ultimately benefiting the people of Oyo State.
