The Harmony Event Centre, Gedu Estate, Saki, was abuzz with excitement on Saturday, June 14, 2025, as Taheed Tunde and Selimat Badru exchanged traditional vows in a grand wedding ceremony. The event was a vibrant celebration of Yoruba culture, steeped in tradition and pageantry.

The groom, Taheed Tunde, is the grandson of the late Jagunmolu Adinni of Yorubaland, Alh. Tijani Mosa. His union with Selimat Badru was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy, reflecting the importance of family and community in Yoruba culture.

The Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi, accompanied by his council of chiefs, graced the occasion with their presence. Other notable attendees included former Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Muta Abimbola, and former Minority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Rafiu Adekunle.

Speaking with this Newspaper,the groom’s father, Mr. Tajudeen Idris, charged the newlyweds to build a strong foundation of love, trust, and mutual respect. He prayed for God’s blessings on their union, wishing them a lifetime of happiness and prosperity.

The ceremony was attended by family members and friends of the couple, who came together to celebrate their love and commitment. The event was a vibrant display of Yoruba culture, with traditional music, dance, and attire adding to the festive atmosphere.
