The Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, has extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the people of Saki, Oyo State, and Nigerian citizens.
In his message on Thursday, he expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future: “I’m confident Nigeria’s economy will improve with the Federal Government’s measures.” He lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde for their efforts towards improved infrastructure, security, and living standards.
The Okere urged citizens to “eschew corruption, be patriotic, and be our brother’s keeper.” He also emphasized security, saying, “Security is everybody’s responsibility. Let’s be vigilant and report suspicious faces and activities.”
“Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year! Let’s enter 2026 with optimism, vigour, and good faith,” he said .
