3,000 residents of Saki, benefited from a Ramadan public lecture and food and cash outreach organised by the Chief Executive Officer of Adraff Motors Limited,Alhaji Fatai Rafiu Adio.
The programme, held at Ansarudeen High School, Saki in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, combined spiritual teachings with humanitarian support as food items and cash assistance were distributed to attendees.
The Paramount Ruler of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi who graced the event alongside other traditional chiefs, commended the organiser for his generosity and dedication to the wellbeing of the Saki community.
In his remarks, the monarch expressed appreciation to Alhaji Adio for consistently demonstrating love and commitment to the development of the town. He prayed for the host’s longevity and success, describing him as one of the foremost individuals who genuinely care about the progress and welfare of Saki people.
Okere noted that the initiative reflects the values emphasized by Islamic scholars during their lectures, particularly the importance of loving one’s community and supporting those in need. According to him, the remarkable contributions of the organiser were among the reasons he set aside other engagements to attend the event.
He also urged other wealthy individuals in society to emulate such acts of generosity and invest in programmes that improve the lives of community members.
The monarch further called on parents and caregivers to pay greater attention to the upbringing of their children and the welfare of family members, stressing that responsible parenting remains essential to building a stronger society. He concluded by praying for the growth, peace and prosperity of every household in the community.
In their separate lectures, Islamic scholars Sheikh Abdur-Roffih Muhammad Jamiu and Sheikh AbdRahman Fasasi commended the sponsor, Alhaji Fatai Rafiu Adio, and his associate, Alhaji Ismail Ayiki, for their generosity and commitment to supporting the less privileged.
They encouraged the organisers to remain steadfast in their charitable efforts and continue to support community development initiatives.
Other Highlights of the event included the distribution of essential food items such as rice, beans, garri and pasta, alongside cash assistance to beneficiaries, bringing relief and hope to many families during the fasting period.
