Former Senate Leader and Oyo State Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, has reiterated his commitment to genuine reconciliation, inclusive leadership and party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Folarin gave the assurance during an enlarged meeting with critical stakeholders of the APC in Oyo State, where discussions centred on resolving internal differences and strengthening the party’s chances of victory in the forthcoming elections.
The former Senate Leader said he was prepared to put personal grievances aside in the overriding interest of the party, stressing that unity and collective responsibility were necessary to reposition the APC for electoral success in the state.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, as well as the party’s determination to reclaim political power in Oyo State in 2027.
According to him, the party must not allow individual differences to undermine its collective aspirations, particularly after nearly eight years in opposition.
“Our differences must not divide us. Unity, mutual respect and collective responsibility must guide our actions as we move forward together,” he said.
In a related development, Folarin had earlier hosted members of the Oyo State APC State Working Committee at his Oluyole residence in Ibadan, where strategic discussions were held on strengthening the party’s internal structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting also focused on fostering genuine reconciliation, promoting inclusive leadership and improving coordination among party organs and stakeholders across the state.
Folarin reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with the State Working Committee and other critical stakeholders to advance the collective interest of the party.
