Former First Lady of Oyo State and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Dr Florence Ajimobi, has held a strategic meeting with some prominent chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, which brought together the Oyo State Coordinator of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin; Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District; former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; and Barrister Akeem Agbaje, centred on efforts to reposition and strengthen the party in the state.
Discussions at the meeting reportedly focused on genuine reconciliation, inclusive leadership and the need to foster renewed unity among party leaders and stakeholders to enhance the APC’s electoral prospects in the 2027 general elections.
The gathering was also seen as part of ongoing consultations aimed at addressing internal differences, strengthening party cohesion and building a common front among the various tendencies within the Oyo State chapter of the APC.
The meeting comes amid growing political activities and realignments within the party as it prepares for the 2027 electoral contest, with reconciliation and collective mobilisation expected to play significant roles in its quest to reclaim power in Oyo State.
