Aishat Aliyu Adeleke Foundation distributes writing materials to pupils in Okeogun

Govt. can’t do it alone

Against the backdrop of challenges posed by the economic hardship as Schools resumed last week ,an Okeogun-based NGO, Aishat Aliyu Adeleke Foundation(A3) , has assisted scores of public schools’ pupils with the distribution of writing materials to 19 selected schools which cut across Saki West, Saki East and ATISBO LGAs.

The distribution took place during the organization’s maiden educational support programme 2024, which was delivered at the premises of the selected schools .

ITV Online can authoritatively report that , the Foundation distributed the educational materials in fair manners that saw the needed vulnerable pupils , regardless of their religious backgrounds benefitting to earn their writing and learning skills .

Speaking on the development, the Cordinator of the foundation, Abdulsalam Muhydeen Olaide said the foundation deemed it necessary to embark on the initiative as parts of its communal and social responsibilities to support education of the underprivileged and identify with them in the quest for educational excellence to compete favorably with their counterparts in the classroom.

“The effort is made to encourage vulnerable pupils of various schools with exercise books and learning materials needed to effectively enhance their learning as education is the bedrock of societal development ”

While noting the feeding of fasting Muslims’ scheme during last Ramadan,assured of the foundation’s determination to key into positive programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the downtrodden in the society.

Responding, a cross section of the schools’ heads who spoke during the exercise commended and appreciated the donor for the gesture, thanked the foundation for identifying with them and for providing educational aides to the vulnerable pupils and prayed to God to bless the founder abundantly.

They also appealed to well to do in the society to assist in uplifting the standard of leaning of less privileged people in the society.

He ,however, explaned that exercise was part of its efforts in revamping basic education of the less privileged in the society ,adding that it would significantly tackle the dearth of writing culture among the beneficiaries since the government alone could not tackle the challenges beseeching the educational sector.
