As Nigeria steps into 2026, Hon. Niyi Adeagbo, Former Chairman of Itesiwaju LGA and Agbakin of Otu, has urged citizens to hold onto hope amid uncertainty and struggles.
“As we move into 2026 amid uncertainty, persistent struggles, and evolving challenges, one truth must remain constant: our hope must continue to rise!!”
Adeagbo in his New Year message, emphasized that disappointments are inevitable when we rely too much on external factors for joy, success, or breakthroughs.
“Disappointments will surely come… Yet, these moments remind us that the most reliable assets we possess are those within our own capacity,”
“In moments of disappointment, we must remember that our strength, resilience, work ethic, and faith are the foundations we can truly rest upon,” he said.
Adeagbo emphasized that hope is sustained by effort, discipline, commitment, and belief in oneself and God. “May God bless our 2026… grant us our heart’s desires, and preserve us all in good health,” he prayed.
He wished Nigerians a happy and prosperous new year, saying, “Happy New Year, Great People.”
