A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant, Barr Akeem Agbaje, has joined the family, associates, and the entire Arewa Community in Oyo State to mourn the passing of the Sarkin Hausawan Ibadan, Alhaji Ali Ɗahiru Zungeru.
In a condolence message, Barr Akeem Agbaje described the late Sarkin Hausawan Ibadan as a detribalised leader whose life and conduct reflected a deep commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and the collective progress of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that Alhaji Zungeru’s leadership transcended ethnic boundaries, adding that his role within the Hausa community in Ibadan was marked by wisdom, restraint, and a consistent effort to promote harmony among diverse groups.
“Alhaji Ali Ɗahiru Zungeru was not only a leader to his people but a bridge builder who understood the importance of unity in a multicultural society like ours. His contributions to peace and understanding in Ibadan and across Oyo State will be remembered with respect.”
