Sheikh Imam Muhideen Salmon, the Grand Chief Imam of Offa, has called on Muslims in Ago-Are to prioritize family ties and nurture relationships through mutual understanding and cordial interaction.
The cleric’s admonition came during the 1st Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar, organized by the Alageere of Ago-Are, His Royal Majesty Oba Alhaji Azeez Oyetunde Uthman JP.

Sheikh Salmon emphasized that strengthening family bonds is essential for promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion. He stressed that fostering friendly relationships, moral and financial support, empowerment, tolerance, and forgiveness are crucial responsibilities of a good Muslim.
The event, attended by prominent monarchs, including the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi,the Aare of Ago-Are, Oba Abodunrin Oyetunji Kofoworola,the Olu of Igbo-Ora, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, among others aimed at promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in Ago-Are town and beyond.
In their remarks, dignitaries congratulated the Alageere of Ago-Are on the occasion and urged community members to unite and participate in community activities to foster symbolic family and community bonds.
The Alageere of Ago-Are, Oba Azeez Oyetunde Uthman JP, expressed appreciation for the attendees and noted that the lecture would go a long way in fostering unity, love, and peaceful coexistence in Ago-Are town and beyond.
According to Sheikh Imam Muhideen Salmon, promoting family bonds is crucial for Muslims. The cleric identified three essential attributes that all Muslims should adopt to strengthen their family relationships including accommodating family members, holding regular family prayers and regular visitations.
He emphasized the importance of living in harmony with family members, stating that life is fleeting and everything has been ordained by God, noting that uncertainty surrounds tomorrow, making it essential for family members to treat each other with kindness and respect.
The cleric specifically urged wealthy family members to extend support to their less privileged relatives, promoting a sense of unity and compassion within families.
The Okere of Sakiland, Olu of Igbo-Ora, and other dignitaries congratulated the Alageere of Ago-Are on a successful event, emphasizing the importance of community unity and participation in activities that foster family and community bonds. They encouraged everyone to continue the good spirit of Ramadan by applying its lessons and abstaining from ungodly acts even after the holy month .
The dignitaries also prayed for the Alageere’s continued enablement to organize more programs in the future. This event highlights the significance of community and spiritual leaders in promoting unity, peace, and harmony during Ramadan and beyond.
Alh. Ahmed Raji , SAN represented by Alh. Saheed Alaran expressed satisfaction over the carriage of the event ,prayed for the Alageere of Ago-Are to receive the necessary enablement to organize more programs in the future . He also pledged that , the legal Icon would provide necessary support in due course.
Meanwhile, the Alageere of Ago-Are, Oba Azeez Oyetunde Uthman JP, expressed his gratitude to all individuals present at the occasion. He praised the lecture delivered by the speaker, noting its timeliness and potential to foster unity, love, and peaceful coexistence in Ago-Are town and beyond.
Those at the event include royal fathers ,religious leaders, community leaders, youths and other critical stakeholders .
