Officers at the Agodi Medium Security Custodial Centre have successfully intercepted a sophisticated attempt to smuggle illicit substances into the facility.
The breakthrough occurred on Thursday during a high-alert routine screening. A visitor, attempting to bypass the facility’s stringent security protocols, was caught concealing suspected hard drugs inside a food container intended for an inmate.
The suspect was promptly arrested and handed over for further investigation and has been taken into custody, and a full investigation is underway to ensure all parties involved are held accountable.
