A House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Femi Oyedemi, popularly known as YY Muslim, on Sunday hosted supporters, party members and associates to an Iftar gathering in Saki.
The event brought together members and supporters of the party, as well as friends and associates, who joined the aspirant in breaking the fast during the ongoing Ramadan.
Oyedemi expressed appreciation to those who attended the event, praying that God would spare their lives to witness many more occasions in good health and prosperity.
In a chat with Independent Television (ITV) Online, the APC chieftain explained that the Iftar was not politically motivated. According to him, the gathering has been a routine activity he has maintained over the past few years.
He added that the event was organized to share in the spirit of the holy month and to foster unity among associates and community members.
Oyedemi also prayed that God would grant the Muslim faithful the strength and grace to complete the fasting period successfully.
