The Sole Head Administrator of AsabariLocal Council Development Area, Hon. Kolade Ojo,on Friday inspected a long-damaged road at Agoluabi (Oke-Aya) accompanied by community leaders, including Hon. Najeem Omirinde (Omi Agba), Oseni Jimoh (Chairman of Agoluaabi), and Kayode Adebayo, along with other aides. They conducted community assessments to ensure that all local roads were accessible and motorable for easy transportation.
During the inspection, the Secretary expressed the administration’s commitment to fulfilling all campaign promises made before taking office, particularly the promise of rapid infrastructural development. The community expressed their gratitude for the recent grading of 42 km of road at Ilua and the rehabilitation of the road at Kinnikinni, among other projects.
He also ordered the urgent reconstruction of the culvert, stressing that work must begin immediately to direct the erosion appropriately, ensuring both culverts are restored to good condition.
The Chairman concluded by encouraging the community to remain vigilant and prayerful. He added that their support for the government would ensure they receive the benefits of democracy tailored to their needs.
Speaking on the development, a former Chairman Oyo State Rural Water Resources ( OYORUWASSA), Engr. Najeem Omirinde,expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Administrator, stating that the assessment tour demonstrates his commitment to listening to their concerns and addressing their needs.
Omirinde hailed him on the expansion of the River banks to avoid recurring flood disaster which destroyed property of the inhabitants .
Others who joined the assessment tour include the Special Adviser to the council boss, Alh. Ibrahim Atepe , Kayode Adebayo, Oseni Jimoh to mention but a few .
