Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar met with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday in a closed-door meeting at Obasanjo’s hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Atiku was accompanied by former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal, a former governor of Sokoto State. While the details of their discussions remain undisclosed, the meeting comes at a time when opposition politicians are strategizing for the 2027 presidential election in an effort to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
