ATISBO LG takes fight against erosion to Irawo community,flags off project to channel drainage system

In a bid to address the perennial problem of erosion in Ìràwò community, ATISBO Local Government Chairman, Alh. Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade ,has initiated a flag off project to channelize the drainage system directly opposite the Bofat hotel, Irawo area.

The flag off of 190m, aimed at controlling erosion and preventing further environmental degradation to link up the existing road to ease the vehicular and pedestrian movements.

The channelization project involves the construction of concrete drains to direct water flow away from residential areas.

The LG boss represented by the vice chairman and political Head of ATISBO South LCDA, Hon. Sola Ogundiya,assured residents that ,the project will be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

A resident of the area ,expressed optimism that the project will bring an end to the erosion menace that has plagued the community for years.

The LG Chairman has assured residents that the project will be executed with utmost care and consideration for the environment.

This move demonstrates Alade’s commitment to addressing environmental challenges and improving the lives of residents in Atisbo Local Government Area.

Those at the event include the LG officers , political functionaries and other critical stakeholders.
