A staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engineer Najeem Adeyemi Adewale, popularly known as ASEKUNLOWO, has formally declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship position of ATISBO LGA in the forthcoming LG election in Oyo State.
Adewale, a native of Irawo in Ward 3 of ATISBO LGA, brings with him years of grassroots political experience and administrative exposure. Speaking with 𝗜𝗧𝗩 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 , the aspirant emphasized his commitment to community development, transparent governance, and inclusive leadership.
The PDP stalwart began his political journey as a councillor, serving from 2004 to 2007, where he was actively involved in local legislative processes and community representation. He later served as a Senior Legislative Aide to a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2015 and 2018, gaining valuable experience in policy formulation and constituency engagement.
Further strengthening his credentials, Adewale worked as an Electoral Officer with the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission from 2018 to 2020, a role that exposed him to the intricacies of electoral administration and democratic processes at the grassroots level.
Academically, he holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, a qualification he says has shaped his problem-solving approach and strengthened his capacity for infrastructural planning and execution.
Describing himself as a “bonafide and loyal member” of the PDP, Adewale assured party stakeholders and residents of Atisbo that his administration, if elected, would prioritize development projects, youth empowerment, and improved public services.
“As someone who understands the needs of our people and the workings of government, I am ready to serve and bring meaningful progress to Atisbo,” he stated.
