Awodi-Oke Congratulates Ago-Are Community as Akewukewe Takes Helm as Ago-Are’s Grand Chief Imam

Engr. Tosin Kolade Awodi-Oke, founder of the Awodi-Oke Foundation, has extended his warm congratulations to the Ago-Are community on the occasion of the turbaning ceremony of their new Grand Chief Imam, Sheikh Sulayman Adedeji Akewukewe.

In his message made available to this newspaper on Saturday, Awodi-Oke expressed his heartfelt congratulations, saying, “I fervently pray for the Muslim community and Ago-Are as a whole, wishing them peace, prosperity, and spiritual growth under the leadership of Sheikh Sulayman Adedeji Akewukewe.”

The ceremony would mark a significant milestone in the community’s spiritual journey, with Sheikh Adewukewe succeeding the late Chief Imam, Sheikh Ahmad Rufai Idera II. Sheikh Akewukewe, a lecturer at the University of Lagos, will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role.

The turbaning ceremony expected to be attended by Islamic scholars, traditional figures, and community residents, highlighting the community’s support for their new leader.
