Awodi-Oke receives prominent PDP defectors to APC in ATISBO LGA

 

In a significant development, several prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.

According to a source the defection took place during a monthly meeting of the Engr. Tosin Awodi-Oke Foundation, held at the Awodi-Oke compound in Ago-Are, ATISBO LGA, on July 28, 2025.

The defectors, who were welcomed by Engr. Kolade Tosin, include notable PDP leaders such as Adedokun Rofiat, Fatimo Usman, Janet Ogunkunle, Mary Adebisi, Olanike Felicia, Olaniyi Rebecca, Abun Jima, Salawudeen Alirat, and Amuzat Adetunji. Engr. Kolade Tosin described the defectors as solid members and leaders of the PDP, assuring them of equal opportunities and privileges in the APC.

Emphasizing the importance of unity in moving the party forward, Engr. Kolade Tosin urged existing APC members to welcome the defectors with open arms,stressing that the APC is committed to inclusiveness and providing opportunities for all members to contribute to the party’s growth and development.

The APC members present at the meeting expressed delight at the defection, welcoming the new members and pledging to work together to strengthen the party. The Awodi-Oke Foundation and APC family look forward to working with the defectors to uplift others and promote the party’s agenda.
