Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, has celebrated seasoned politician and elder statesman, Chief Bisi Akande, on the occasion of his 87th birthday.
In a congratulatory message, Barr. Agbaje described Chief Akande as a distinguished statesman and a central figure in Nigeria’s progressive political tradition, whose life of service and steadfast commitment to democratic ideals have continued to shape and inspire political leadership across generations.
Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, Agbaje noted that beyond public service, Chief Akande represents a source of personal guidance and moral clarity, whose counsel and example have been impactful both in private engagements and in the broader political space.
“Baba Akande is not only a former Governor of Osun State and a respected leader of our progressive family, he is a man whose life reflects discipline, integrity, and loyalty to principles. I have been privileged to share moments of learning and reflection with him, and his words have always carried depth, balance, and wisdom.”
According to Akeem Agbaje, the elder statesman’s influence transcends titles and positions, noting that his quiet strength and firm convictions have helped steady the progressive movement at critical moments in Nigeria’s political journey.
“I join family members, associates, and admirers in celebrating you, Baba, at 87. I pray that Almighty God grants you continued good health, inner peace, and strength. May your days be filled with fulfillment, and may your legacy of service and principled leadership continue to speak for generations yet unborn.”
