Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and foremost 2027 gubernatorial hopeful in Oyo State, has congratulated Oloye (Sen.) Teslim Kolawole Folarin, OFR, on his elevation as the Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, today, Friday, November 21, 2025.
In a congratulatory message, Barr. Akeem Agbaje described the honour bestowed on Sen Folarin as well-deserved and a reflection of his standing within Ibadan traditional and sociopolitical circles. He noted that the new Agbaakin Olubadan has, over the years, demonstrated deep respect for the customs of Ibadanland and contributed meaningfully to its political and cultural development.
“Sen Teslim Folarin’s elevation as Agbaakin Olubadan is a recognition of his place in the history and leadership structure of our land. It is a fitting acknowledgement of his long-standing engagement with the affairs of Ibadan and Oyo State, and I join countless well-wishers in celebrating this honour.”
He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the new Agbaakin Olubadan renewed strength, wisdom, and grace to continue contributing to the peace, unity, and progress of Ibadanland.
