College of Nursing Sciences, Muslim Medical Foundation, Saki matriculates 117 students

The College of Nursing Sciences, Muslim Medical Foundation, Saki, Oyo State, marked a significant milestone in its history with the inaugural matriculation ceremony of 117 into the esteem institution for the 2024/2025 academic year. The ceremony, held at the College Auditorium on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, was a grand affair that brought together dignitaries, management board members, parents, staff, and the matriculating students.

In her address, the Provost of the college, Alhaja Sani Olalere K.O ,delivered a stirring address that resonated deeply with the students,emphasizing the importance of taking their studies and training seriously. She assured the students of the institution’s commitment to providing a conducive and stimulating environment that would help them achieve their goals and navigate the complexities of nursing education.

“Your journey into the noble profession of nursing has just begun,we are committed to providing a nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and compassion; the bedrock of quality healthcare.”, she said .

The Provost also warned the students to shun vices that could derail their academic pursuits including cultism, drug abuse, bullying, violence, and other social vices that may disrupt the smooth running of the college.

The Chairman of the Management Board, Alhaji Yusuff Ismail Adebayo, congratulated the matriculating students on their admission into the noble profession. He encouraged them to take their academic journey seriously, emphasizing that the significant journey begins with dedication, compassion, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose.

“Your admission into this esteemed institution is a testament to your potential and dedication .As you embark on this academic journey, remember that nursing is not just a profession, but a calling that demands compassion, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose.”,he stated.

The Head of Department, Alhaji I.A. Salaudeen, administered the matriculation oath to the students, encouraging them to uphold the values and principles of the nursing profession and to be good ambassadors of the institution. He charged them to work hard and take their studies and training seriously.

A heartfelt prayer was said by Barrister Nasirudeen Muslim, seeking divine guidance and protection for the students as they embark on their academic journey and odyssey. The ceremony was attended by an array of dignitaries, including members of the management board, parents, staff, among others.

As the matriculation ceremony drew to a close, the students were left with a sense of purpose and belonging. They are now part of a community that values academic excellence, innovation, and compassion.
