Eid-el-Fitri: Okere Urges Unity, Felicitates Muslims

The Okere of Sakiland, Oba (Dr.) Sur. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in Saki and beyond as they mark this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebration.

In a statement issued on Friday, the traditional ruler congratulated residents and indigenes of Saki, both at home and in the diaspora, on the successful completion of Ramadan.

He urged adherents of Islam to sustain the virtues of sacrifice, patience, and devotion imbibed during the holy month, emphasizing that such values should reflect in their daily conduct and relationships with others.

The monarch also called for peaceful coexistence among people of different religious backgrounds, noting that unity and mutual respect are essential for societal progress and development.

“Let the lessons of Ramadan guide our interactions and strengthen the bonds within our community,” he said.

Oba Oyedepo wished Muslims a joyful and memorable Eid-el-Fitri celebration, concluding with the traditional greeting, “Barka de Sallah.”
