Eminent Club of Nigeria (Okeogun) Bolsters FUNATO Students Welfare with Donation of 50 Mattresses

In a significant boost to the residential welfare of pioneer students, the Eminent Club of Nigeria, Okeogun, today officially delivered 50 high-quality mattresses to the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO).

The donation, which took place during an official visit by club members to the institution’s campus on Monday, March 9, marks a critical intervention by the socio-cultural organization to ensure a conducive learning and living environment for the university’s inaugural intake.

Leading the delegation, the President of the Eminent Club, Dr. Femi Oyedemi (popularly known as YY Muslim), emphasized that the gesture was born out of a deep-seated commitment to the development of the Oke-Ogun region and its educational landmarks.

”Our mission today is simple: To support the foundation of this great institution by ensuring that the students have the basic comfort required to focus on their studies.

The provision of these 50 mattresses is a direct response to our club’s mandate to improve the learning environment and ease the transition for these newly admitted students.”, he stated.

The distribution was carried out systematically, with members of the club actively participating in the handover process to ensure the items reached the intended beneficiaries within the student housing units.

The “YY Muslim”-led administration of the Eminent Club has consistently positioned itself as a partner in progress for regional development. This latest move at FUNATO is seen as a strategic investment in the human capital of Oke-Ogun, particularly as the university begins its journey as a center for agricultural and technological excellence.

University representatives expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, noting that such partnerships between the gown and the town are essential for the sustainability of new public institutions.
