FUNATO delegation visits Buhari,lauds him for establishment of University in Okeogun

Buhari hails Tinubu, Gbadegesi and others

A delegation from the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Jacob Babayemi, paid a courtesy visit to Senator Abdulfatai Buhari in Abuja. The purpose of the visit was to express gratitude for the senator’s instrumental role in establishing the university.

During the visit, Professor Babayemi praised Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, PhD, for his pivotal role in establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO).

Senator Buhari has been instrumental in various capacities, including sponsoring the bill for the university’s establishment. His contributions have been recognized by the university’s management, who commended his dedication to education and development in the region.

The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), expressed gratitude to Senator Abdulfatai Buhari for his pivotal role in establishing the institution. Professor Jacob Babayemi, Vice-Chancellor of FUNATO, led a delegation to thank the senator, saying:

“We are here to thank you, we and the entire Oke-Ogun cannot thank you enough. Your role, which is 80 or 90% in the entire processes in the establishment of the University, nobody can say. The entire region has no federal presence for years, we urge and seek your continuous support for the growth of the University.”

Senator Abdulfatai Buhari expressed heartfelt gratitude to key stakeholders who contributed to the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho. He extended his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa and His father, Professor Gbadesin (Asiwaju of Okeho)

Senator Abdulfatai Buhari advised the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho’s management to maintain focus and strive for excellence to elevate the institution to global standards.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aviation and Aerospace, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari urged the university’s management and staff to view their roles as a patriotic duty and an opportunity to make lasting contributions. He emphasized that their service would be a testament to their commitment to national development.

Other Members of the Management who came with the Vice-Chancellor include the University’s Registrar, Aminu Muhammad Olayinka, the Bursar of the institution, Prince Kazeem Popoola and the Libarian, Dr Adigun Abdulganiyu as well as an Saki-born Abuja based philanthropist, Alhaji Adedeji Adewale.
