A close ally of the late Sunday Makinde, the eldest son of Oyo state’s first family has narrated how he died
Sunday Makinde reportedly died in an early on Friday, January 24th, without prior illness.
According to the deceased close ally, who pleaded for anonymous, he said, Mr. Sunday Makinde was hail and healthy till last night. ( Thursday )
” I spoke with him on the phone last night, and he sounded good. It was this early morning they called me from his house to announce his death to me
I was told he developed strange changes in his body at midnight and was rushed to the hospital immediately, but unfortunately, he died not long after.
According to those who were with him, they said, they waited for Medical balance to carry him to Adeojo Medical Hospital and died when he got to Adeoyo.
His corpse has now moved to the Department of Anatomy at the University of Ibadan.
Mr. Sunday Makinde died at the age of 65 and was survived by children and grandchildren.”
