A fatal accident in Iseyin, Oyo State, has led to a violent clash between LAUTECH students and security forces. The incident occurred when a commercial vehicle rammed into two female students, killing one and injuring the other.
The students, who were on a motorcycle, were hit by the bus at Owonikoko Garage, Customs area, sparking outrage among LAUTECH students. The protesters set the commercial vehicle ablaze, prompting a heavy police presence to restore order.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when the bus, coming from Saki, lost control and hit the students. The injured student is receiving medical attention, while the deceased has been mourned by the campus community.
