PDP chieftain, Shina Peller, has revealed that Iseyin recorded the highest number of votes for Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State. Peller made this statement on Wednesday at the PDP general meeting held at the Iseyin City Hall. He called for consolidation ahead of future elections, emphasizing the need for unity and strength within the party.
Peller, described Iseyin as a role model for other areas, calling on party members to unite behind a common purpose. He emphasized the need for unity and solidarity within the party to drive progress and achieve success.
According to him, the exit of Senator Hosea Agboola Hallelujah and others from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is seen as an opportunity for the party to reform and restructure. Peller believes that the party needs restructuring, describing it as “the work of God”.
He likened Governor Seyi Makinde to biblical hero David, saying he will triumph over his political adversaries like David defeated Goliath. This bold assertion underscores Peller’s confidence in Makinde’s leadership and political prowess.
While assuring party members that the PDP convention is sacrosanct and unstoppable, he urged members to remain optimistic about the party’s prospects in future elections.
Peller highlighted some of the notable projects, including the Iseyin/Moniya, Iseyin/Ogbomoso, and Iseyin/Oyo roads, among others, as evidence of Makinde’s commitment to development.
