In a heartwarming display of kindness, the Islamic Enlightenment Foundation based in Kuwait has donated a total of N14 million to 80 orphanages in Saki and Irawo communties.
The donation, which was presented at a ceremony held on 22nd February,2025 at Big Masjid along Army Barracks, Saki, saw each of the beneficiary orphanages receive a cash sum of N175,000.

According to Hajia Abdulaziz Milliat, Coordinator of the organisation, the donation is part of their efforts to alleviate the suffering of orphans in the society.
He iterated that , the donation was aimed at supporting the orphans and promoting Arabic education among Muslim children.
“As Muslims, we are obligated to care for the less privileged and provide for their needs, we have been working tirelessly to identify and support orphanages in dire need of assistance.”
“I urge the beneficiaries to make use of this gesture to pursue Arabic education for their children, Arabic education is essential for Muslim children to understand their faith and culture.”, she said.
The beneficiaries, who were visibly overwhelmed with emotion, expressed their gratitude to the organisation for its kindness.
One of the parents, Alh. Nimotalahi Bello expressed gratification to the organisation for the donation. She said ,it will go a long way in supporting the education and healthcare of the children.
This donation marks the 7th edition of the organisation’s charitable programme, which has been providing assistance to the less privileged, including orphans for many years.
The Islamic Enlightenment Foundation’s generosity has brought hope and relief to the orphanages, and their selfless act is a testament to the power of kindness and compassion.
