The Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Sur Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, a renowned statesman and dedicated public servant.
In a statement released on September 2, 2025, to commemorate the first anniversary of Chief Koleosho’s passing, the Okere described him as a “stalwart statesman” whose legacy continues to inspire the community.
Chief Koleosho was instrumental in facilitating the establishment of The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, which has produced countless technocrats and professionals in various fields. He also served as Secretary to the Oyo State Government under Governor Lam Adesina and played a pivotal role in shaping the state’s progress.
The Okere praised Chief Koleosho’s commitment to democratic principles and good governance, which earned him widespread respect. He described him as a “mentor and guiding light” to many.
The Okere extended his heartfelt condolences to the Koleosho family, the people of Saki, Oyo State, and Nigeria in general, praying that Chief Koleosho’s soul will continue to rest in peace.
