One of the leading aspirants for the House of Representatives seat eyeing Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections, Mayegun Niyi Adekola, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the revered Alamodu of Ago-Amodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Johnson Olaoye.
In a condolence message released today, Mayegun Adekola described the late monarch as a custodian of culture, a symbol of unity, and a father figure whose reign brought peace, progress, and stability to Ago-Amodu and the entire Oke Ogun region.
“Oba Johnson Olaoye was more than a traditional ruler; he was a beacon of wisdom and a pillar of strength whose leadership inspired harmony and development. His transition marks the end of a remarkable era,” he stated.
Mayegun Adekola extended his heartfelt condolences to the Chief-in-Council of Ago-Amodu, the royal family, and the entire people of Ago-Amodu, urging them to find solace in the impactful life and enduring legacy of the late monarch.
He further prayed that the Almighty grants the departed soul eternal rest among his ancestors and gives the family, the traditional institution, and the community the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“May Kabiyesi’s legacy continue to guide and inspire us all, and may Ago-Amodu continue to thrive on the strong foundation he laid,” Mayegun Adekola added.
