NACCIMA foundation launches 1 billion economic trees planting campaign

The NACCIMA Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its flagship initiative, the 1 Billion Economic Trees Planting Campaign. This ambitious project aims to drive Nigeria’s economic growth, combat climate change, and empower local communities through sustainable development.

According to Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, President of NACCIMA and Chairman of OPSN, “The 1 Billion Economic Trees Planting Campaign is a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability, climate action, and wealth creation for future generations. By planting economic trees, we will not only restore degraded lands but also create jobs, provide food, and supply industrial raw materials, contributing to Nigeria’s $1 trillion economy vision.”

The campaign will engage various stakeholders, including youth, women, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and local communities. It will also partner with relevant government agencies, development partners, and the private sector to ensure its success. Notably, the initiative will complement the Great Green Wall project, further solidifying Nigeria’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

The NACCIMA Foundation invites all Nigerians, particularly the private sector and civil society organizations, to join this national effort. Together, we can build a greener, more prosperous, and sustainable future for generations to come.
