NACCIMA raises alarm over looming National Strike,calls for urgent dialogue

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has expressed deep concern over a potential nationwide strike threatened by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) in its dispute with Dangote Refinery.

Economic Implications of the Strike
According to NACCIMA’s National President, Engr. (Dr) Jani Ibrahim, “A nationwide shutdown in the energy sector at this time would be a crippling blow to Nigeria’s stabilizing economy.” The strike could disrupt energy supply, paralyze transportation and manufacturing, and weaken public services across the country.¹

NACCIMA is urging the Federal Government, PENGASSAN, and Dangote Refinery management to return to the negotiation table immediately. Engr. Ibrahim stressed that “dialogue is not optional; it is urgent and necessary.” The association stands ready to support and facilitate dialogue in the national interest.

NACCIMA Raises Alarm on Looming National Strike: Calls for Urgent
Dialogue to Protect Nigeria’s Economy.
The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines
and Agriculture (NACCIMA) is deeply concerned about the potential
nationwide strike threatened by the Petroleum and Natural Gas
Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) in its dispute with
Dangote Refinery.

If not urgently addressed, this conflict could disrupt energy supply, paralyze transportation and manufacturing, and weaken public services across the country.
