In a grand ceremony steeped in tradition and pageantry, the royal family gathered to celebrate the naming of the Okere of Saki’s newly born child.
The event, which took place at Komi area, Saki was attended by dignitaries, noble groups, and members of the royal family.
The newborn child, a baby girl was formally named Princess Falilat Olabisi and the Islamic ceremony was conducted by the Chief Imam of Sakiland, Sheikh Abdazeez Jejekunmi amidst other Islamic Scholars.
The Islamic leader prayed for the child’s health, happiness, and future prosperity, as the royal family and guests looked on.
Speaking on the development, the guest speaker at the occasion,Sheikh Alaro Olore, charged the wives of the king to be painstaking, resilience and tolerance in the discharge of their duties, advising them to be committed to becoming the mother of a king in the future as exemplified by the living mother of the serving Okere of Saki.
He emphasized the importance of unity among the royal fathers in Okeogun in the overall development of the area.
The ceremony was followed by a grand reception at the Palace of Okere, where guests were treated to music, dancing, and feasting. The royal family, resplendent in their finest attire, mingled with their guests, basking in the joy and celebration of the occasion.
