Nursing is a calling, Adebayo Yusuf bids farewell to 35-year of service in Saki

A retirement event was held in honor of Alhaji Nurse Ismail Yusuff Adebayo at the Conference Hall of the State Specialist Hospital in Saki on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The occasion was graced by prominent figures, including religious leaders, community leaders, family members, and other well-wishers who came to celebrate the retiree’s remarkable career.

The Chief Medical Officer, CNO Aminu M.O, welcomed guests and paid tribute to the retiree’s 35 years of dedicated service. “Retirement is a period of rest from active service,” she said, urging serving staff to remain committed to serving humanity.

In his heartfelt remarks, Alhaji Nurse Yusuff Adebayo expressed gratitude to God, describing retirement as a celebration of a life of service, sacrifice, and resilience. “Nursing is not just a job, but a calling,” he emphasized.

The retiree reflected on the challenges he faced throughout his career, including sleepless nights, sacrifices of family time, and the need for emotional strength and continuous learning. He thanked his family and colleagues for their support and teamwork.
