Okeogun Traditional Council meets in Ogboro, discusses key issues

The Okeogun Traditional Council of Obas on Thursday, 28th August ,2025 convened in Ogboro, Saki East LGA,Oyo State, to deliberate on crucial matters affecting the region’s development.

The meeting was hosted by the Onisanbo of Ogboro, Oba( Engr.) Kazeem Adio Adegboye, brought together traditional rulers to discuss key issues.

The council explored ways to collaborate on this initiative, promoting educational development in the region. The talked about the safety and well-being of residents, while fostering unity among traditional institutions, were highlighted as essential for the region’s growth.

The council claimed the joint ownership regarding the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) which was recently inspected by the NUC. FUNATO was established by President Bola Tinubu in May 2025 to drive agricultural research, technological innovation, and human capital development in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State.

They addressed educational opportunities and developmental challenges were emphasized as vital for the region’s progress.

The council discussed concerns about feeling marginalized and potential solutions, including state creation or increased representation in government.
