Okere commends Makinde, advocates key infrastructure for Okeogun Polytechnics, Saki community

In a stirring endorsement tinged with specific appeals, the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Sur. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for impactful strides in Oyo State’s development, punctuating his remarks with fervent requests for infrastructure augmentation in Saki.

Speaking ahead of the stakeholders’ consultative engagement on the 2026 budget held at Saki City Hall, Oba Oyedepo represented by his traditional chiefs at the event ,expressed appreciation for Governor Makinde’s governance, emphasizing progress in education, infrastructure, health, and other pivotal domains.

“I extended commendation to the Oyo State government, under the progressive governance of Governor Seyi Makinde, acknowledging the impactful developmental initiatives undertaken across our state spanning education, infrastructure, health, and other vital domains,” the Okere stated.

“I articulated a specific request for the perimeter fencing of Michael Adeniyi Koleosho Polytechnics, Saki, with the strategic intent of attracting investors to construct student halls of residence, thereby engendering a more propitious learning milieu for our cherished students,” he noted.

“Echoing Oliver Twist’s earnest beseeching, I passionately solicited interlink roads to integrate the evolving Okerete International Border Market into our economic tapestry, appreciating its prospective role in galvanizing our economy,” Oba Oyedepo said.

The Okere expressed gratitude to fellow Okeogun monarchs who gathered at his palace – including the Alepata of Igboho (Oba Joel Olalere Olawuwo), the Onigbeti of Igbeti (Oba Bashir Abioye Olalekan), and the Oloje of Ojeowode (Oba Abdrasheed Oyiloye) – appreciating their fellowship.

“I salute the Oyo State government, led by Deputy Governor Barr. Adebayo Abdraheem Lawal, for convening this participatory stakeholders’ dialogue at Saki City Hall – an endeavor fostering citizen engagement, a sense of co-ownership in governance,” Oba Oyedepo remarked.

He commended his traditional chiefs for ably representing him, upholding Sakiland’s dignity.
“I extend best wishes for fruitful and harmonious deliberations,” the Okere of Sakiland stated.
