The Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Sur. The Okere ,in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday. expressed his deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and the entire people of Nigeria on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari. He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the deceased Aljannah Firdaus and comfort his loved ones. The Okere commended the late President’s leadership and vision for Nigeria, which will continue to inspire future generations.
The Okere also paid tribute to the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, who reigned for 65 years. He commended the late monarch for his exemplary leadership and contributions to national unity, education, and development. The Okere prayed that Allah would grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family, friends, and the entire people of Ijebuland.
