Okere of Saki expresses gratitude to sympathizers

The paramount ruler of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi, has expressed his heartfelt gratification to all those who sympathized with him over the recent passing of his beloved wife, the late Olori Waliyat Olabisi.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, the monarch appreciated the numerous individuals, groups, and government officials that took time to pay their condolences and offer support during his time of grief.

The monarch’s wife passed away few days after a brief illness, and her demise sent shockwaves throughout the kingdom and beyond. Since then, the palace has received an outpouring of sympathy from various quarters, including government officials, traditional leaders, business associates, and ordinary citizens.

He specifically thanked the state government, the council of traditional rulers in Okeogun area, and the various social and cultural organizations that sent delegations to the palace to pay their respects.

The monarch also appreciated the those who offered their services to help in any way they could during the trying period.

The statement reads :

“I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who took the time to pay me a condolence visit during my recent bereavement.

Your presence meant the world to me and my family, and we were deeply touched by your prayers, kindness, sympathy, and support. Your words of comfort, admonition and shared memories of my loved one helped to ease our pain and reminded us that we are not alone”

Please know that your gestures, whether big or small, did not go unnoticed. Your visits, calls and messages were a source of strength and comfort to us during this difficult time.

Once again, we thank you for your love, care, and support. May God bless and reward you abundantly”

The monarch’s statement was seen as a testament to his commitment to his kingdom and his people, and by extension, a reflection of his appreciation for the support and solidarity he has received during the time of grief.
