In a bid to fast-track development and ensure effective governance, the paramount ruler of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi,has inaugurated ad-hoc committees to oversee various aspects of community life.
The committees, which were inaugurated by the monarch on Thursday at the Saki City Hall, are expected to work closely with community leaders and stakeholders to identify and address pressing needs, as well as implement developmental projects.
The newly inaugurated Committee has been tasked with the critical responsibility of overseeing the development and maintenance of community infrastructure including roads, bridges, public buildings, and other essential facilities that are vital to the community’s growth and well-being.
The committee, which comprises experienced professionals and community leaders, will work closely with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and to the highest standards.
They are also charged with a clear mandate to promote economic growth, support local businesses, and attract investments to the community
Speaking with newsmen, the Chairman of the committee, Wole Oladokun pledged to think outside the box to improve the infrastructure of the community.
He emphasized that ,the committee would explore innovative solutions to address the community’s infrastructure challenges.
“We will think outside the box to come up with creative solutions to our infrastructure problems and work with experts, stakeholders, and the community to identify areas of need and develop effective solutions.”
He also assured that ,the committee would prioritize transparency, accountability, and community engagement in its operations.
“We will ensure that our operations are transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the community .We will engage with the community at every stage of our work to ensure that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed.”
The inauguration of these ad-hoc committees marks a significant step towards empowering the community to take charge of its development. With the committees in place, community members can expect to see tangible improvements in various aspects of community life.
