Okere receives NSCDC Commandant, seeks enhanced security measures

The Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi Oyedepo III, has emphasized the need for increased security measures in the community.

“We need more intelligence and surveillance officers to detect breaches before they happen and prevent activities that could harm our community,” the Okere said when he received the NSCDC Oyo State Commandant, CC Augustine Ayoade PADONU, at his palace.

The Commandant’s visit aimed to strengthen security collaboration and promote safety awareness. The Okere also called for an agro-rangers unit in all Okeogun LGAs to resolve farmer-herder conflicts.

“We can make Saki safer if we work together,” he said, urging citizens to report suspicious activities to the authorities.

The NSCDC’s efforts were appreciated by the Okere, who represented by his traditional chiefs led by the Bagii of Saki, HC Abdrosheed Gasali Adegokeh.
