Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, has condoled with wife, family, APC members, Igbope community and the entire people of Oorelope Local Government, on the death of Hon. Saheed Okanlawon Yusuf, which sad event occurred yesterday morning due to a fatal accident on the Ilorin – Igboho road, describing it as shocking and saddening.
Engr. Olaniyan has said that, as a father and leader, it is a huge loss to him and the entire community, considering the commitment and dedication with which the late Hon. Saheed Yusuf discharged every responsibility and task given to him to handle, be it at community level, at the party and even within the Ummah. The deceased was highly committed, loyal and humble, with a promising future ahead of him.
The late Saheed Yusuf was the APC Vice Chairmanship candidate, running mate to Ezra Olatunbosun, during the 2024 Local Government Elections in Oyo state.
Even with the controversial and disappointing outcome of the said election, Saheed did not withdraw from active engagement and service to our people and party. His commitment increased and he was a shining light and a source of strength and inspiration for young people in leadership, community service and political involvement.
Engr. Olaniyan prayed for the repose of his soul. May Allah grant him Jannatu Fridaus and give us the fortitude to bear the loss.
