The Oorelope Local Government chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its unwavering support for Governor Seyi Makinde, emphasizing the party’s strong cohesion in the region.
In a communique issued and signed by Comr. Ridwan Hassan, Head of Media and Publicity to the Executive Chairman, the Oorelope Local Government chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ,reaffirmed its unwavering support for Governor Seyi Makinde.
“We reaffirm our trust in his commitment to collaborating with national leaders to rebuild and strengthen the PDP as a credible opposition capable of revitalizing Nigeria by 2027.”
The meeting, attended by essential party figures, including the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and other political leaders from Oorelope, highlighted the PDP’s strength and solidarity in the area.
“We assure His Excellency and the PDP leadership that our party remains intact and robust in Oorelope Local Government,” the communique read.
“We will work together with all leaders and stakeholders in Oorelope to fortify the Party into a stronger platform, guaranteeing victory for all our candidates in forthcoming elections.”
Governor Makinde has overseen significant progress in Oorelope Local Government, including advancements in job creation, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and agriculture.
“Oorelope’s growth should not be sacrificed for personal gains,” Ogundiran stressed.
The PDP’s strong showing in Oorelope Local Government is expected to play a crucial role in the party’s fortunes in the region.

COMMUNIQUE FROM A MEETING OF PDP STAKEHOLDERS IN OORELOPE LOCAL GOVERNMENT
On Friday, October 24, 2025, the Executive Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and all Political Functionaries, along with Local Executives and Ward Chairs in Oorelope Local Government, gathered to discuss governance and the status of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area.
At the conclusion of the meeting, which included the Executive Chairman, Vice Chairman, Local Government Secretary, Chief of Staff, all Councillors, Local Executives, 10 Ward Chairmen, and leaders of the Oorelope PDP, the following resolutions were adopted:
- We, representing the Government and citizens of Oorelope Local Government, express our confidence in His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, and the PDP leadership in Oyo State.
