Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oorelope Local Government have declared their unanimous support for the candidacy of Jimoh Adisa Olabisi ahead of the forthcoming state constituency election.
The endorsement, reached after extensive consultations among party leaders, elders, and grassroots mobilisers, underscores what stakeholders described as a shared confidence in Olabisi’s experience, leadership capacity, and track record. They characterised him as a credible and widely accepted candidate capable of delivering victory for the party.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Oorelope PDP Chairman said the decision was guided by the need to present a strong and unifying candidate with influence across all wards in the local government. He noted that Olabisi’s sustained engagement with constituents and contributions to community development distinguished him among other aspirants.
The stakeholders also commended the leadership of Oyo State, including Governor Seyi Makinde, his deputy, and the state party chairman, for promoting internal democracy and inclusiveness within the party, which they said made the consensus possible.
Party members across Oorelope have welcomed the endorsement, expressing optimism about the PDP’s prospects in the election and pledging support for Olabisi’s campaign. Many described the move as a strategic step to consolidate the party’s influence in the constituency.
In his response, Olabisi thanked party stakeholders and supporters for the confidence reposed in him, promising inclusive representation and people-focused leadership if elected.
He also called on fellow aspirants to accept the outcome in good faith and work together for the party’s success at the polls.
