The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has entered a new era following the successful conclusion of its state congress, which saw the emergence of a fresh 34-member Executive Committee tasked with steering the party’s affairs.
In a display of party internal democracy held in the state capital, H.E.
Moses Alake was officially appointed as the State Chairman. Alake, a seasoned political figure, is expected to lead the charge in unifying various caucuses within the Pacesetter State.
The new executive lineup appears strategically designed to balance the three senatorial districts. Joining Alake at the helm is Dr. Taofeek Lamidi as Deputy Chairman, while the legal and administrative backbone of the party will be managed by Barr. Fatai Adesina (Secretary) and Barr. Aborisade Sunday (Legal Adviser).
The congress also solidified regional leadership with the appointment of three Senatorial Chairmen:
