Oyo North 2027: Okeogun leaders back Rep’s member, Kareem Tajudeen for Senate

Leaders from Irepo, Olorunsogo, and Oorelope Local Governments have thrown their weight behind Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun (Were) for the 2027 Senatorial election. At a federal constituency meeting at Tafoo Hotel they unanimously endorsed Hon. Were ,citing his impactful representation, commitment to fairness and equity ,and affirmed that ,he is the best candidate to carry Oke-Ogun’s mandate forward.

The meeting, attended by Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun (Were) and his team, concluded with a unified endorsement, solidifying Tajudeen as the people’s preferred candidate for the 2027 Senatorial election.

In attendance were respected figures such as Alh. Ayinla from Igbeti, Alh. Somope from Igboho, Washington from Irepo, alongside the three council chairmen, ward excos, and party faithfuls from across the constituencies.

Leaders at the meeting praised Hon. Were, noting that his impactful representation, humility, and accessibility align with Oke-Ogun’s values of fairness, equity, and capable leadership. They agreed that he is well-positioned to effectively represent Oke-Ogun’s interests in the Senate, fulfilling the region’s aspirations.

The communique issued at the end of the meeting reads “We wholeheartedly adopt Hon. Abisodun as our senatorial candidate for 2027 as we cannot bargain our ten councils in Oke Ogun for three councils.”

With this, the people of Oke-Ogun have spoken clearly — Hon. Were is not just a candidate, he is the people’s choice, the people’s voice, and the future of Oke-Ogun in the Senate.
