condemns total neglect of Okeogun area by present OYSG
In a significant move for unity of purpose among party leaders and members which is crucial for achieving common goals and advancing the party’s agenda, the All Progressives Congress, APC,converged with a strong emphasis on unity among its members in Okeogun area.
The meeting which was held in Adowaye yesterday provided an opportunity for members to deliberate on way forward for the party also served as a powerful testament to the party’s resilience and determination to wrestle power in various LGAS for a successful outing in future elections .
On his parts, a member of the House of Representatives, Kareem Tajudeen, urged his fellow party members to be more open-minded and stated that Okeogun zone is the most neglected in the state’s political arrangement, referring to the zone’s underdevelopment and lack of representation in the political landscape to disunity among its political class.
Bolaji Kareem, opined on the factors that teared the party apart,appealing to put aside personal differences and ultimately position the APC for success in future elections.
Samuel Egunjobi, said APC as a divided house cannot stand , stressing that the party is facing a crucial junction in the history of the state , as internal divisions and power struggles has threatened to tear the party “a house divided against itself can never stand “he said .
Adebayo Shittu, argued on the zonal arrangement which was enshrined in the constitution,sought to prevent zonal monopolies and promote a sense of belonging in the state political landscape.
A prominent member of the party, lamented the unfortunate neglect of APC faithful by the political office holders, sensing abandonment which can be devastating, especially when party members invested their time ,energy and resources into supporting their leaders .
“The fact that, some political elected officers are more focused on maintaining their powers and privileges rather than serving their constituents is a concerning issue”
Others who spoke at the meeting, expressed dissatisfaction over neglect of Okeogun area by the present government in Oyo State, vehemently condemned in its totality the neglect of Okeogun by OYSG in infrastructure development, citing deplorable conditions of the road across the area.
In a related development, the stakeholders proclaimed a former deputy governor, Iyiola Oladokun,Esq.as the overall leader of the party in Okeogun zone , passed a vote of confidence in his leadership in the state .
The proclamation marks turning point to unite the party ahead of future elections and the development is expected to have significant implications for the APC to bring an end to the internal power struggles and paves the way for a formidable opposition force in the state .
As the party continues to reposition itself ahead of future elections, this development is seen as an important step towards unity and strength.
With Iyiola Oladokun at the helm, the party is likely to make significant gains in Okeogun area and Oyo State in general.

After reviewing the situation reports from various local governments within Oke Ogun, the All
Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders resolved as follows:
1.Support for the President:
We express our unwavering support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and the commendable
programs of His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President and Commander-in-Chief of
the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Tinubu Pains will definitely bring Tinubu Gains.
- Acknowledgment of Leadership:
While the meeting’s aim was not to anoint His Excellency, Chief Barrister Iyiola Oladokun, as the
Leader of APC in Oyo State, we acknowledge and support his exemplary leadership qualities at
both the zonal and state levels.We give our unwavering support for the acting party chairman of APC in Oyo state. Alhaji Olaide Abass.
- Gratitude to Elected Officials:
We appreciate the contributions of our elected officials, past and present, to the development of
Oke Ogun. However, we urge them to redouble their efforts for the progress of our zone.
4.Unity and Love Among Party Members:
We call on all party members to foster unity and love for one another to ensure the party’s future
prosperity and success.

We advocate for gender balance at all levels of the party to promote inclusivity and equity.
6. Avoidance of Internal Conflicts:
Party members are advised to desist from casting aspersions against one another. Instead, we
should embrace a spirit and culture that promote unity of purpose and harmony for the party’s
progression.

Members across the 10 local governments of Oke Ogun reaffirm their commitment to ensuring
the success of the APC at all levels in the 2027 elections. That members should committed to
the core values of the progressive party and not to the Aspirants.
8.Oke Ogun Aspiration for 2027.
In the spirit of fairness and justice we are committed to power rotation among the Three
Senatorial Districts of Oyo State and also Oke Ogun producing the next Senator of Oyo North
Senatorial District.
- Neglect of Oke Ogun by the Present Government in Oyo State
We condemn in its totality the neglect of Oke Ogun by OYSG in infrastructure development.
Most of our roads are in deplorable conditions and OYSG give a deaf ear to the cry of the
people of Oke Ogun.
