Oyo State PDP Directs Newly Elected Executives to Resume Work Immediately

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has directed all newly elected Ward and Local Government Executives to commence full party activities with immediate effect. In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Micheal Ogunsina, the party emphasized the need for smooth coordination, effective mobilization, and enhanced communication between the party’s leadership and members at all levels.

The PDP emphasized the importance of unity and progress, directing all political office holders under the party’s platform in Oyo State to cooperate and work harmoniously with the newly elected party officials at all levels. “Every political office holder must align with the new executives to consolidate the achievements of our great party and ensure continued dominance across the state,” the statement said.

The statement further mandated that all Local Government Party Chairmen must convene the first official local government meeting of the party before the end of October 2025, as part of the process of reactivating and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.

It is also pertinent to note that the Senatorial Chairmen of the Party across the three Senatorial districts are to monitor thorough compliance of this directive

According to the statement, the directive aims to ensure smooth coordination, effective mobilization, and enhanced communication between the party’s leadership and members at all levels.

“We expect all newly elected officers to take up their responsibilities immediately and begin the task of strengthening the party structure across the state,” the statement reads.

The party also directed all political office holders under the platform of the PDP in Oyo State to cooperate and work harmoniously with the newly elected party officials at all levels, in the interest of unity and progress.

“Every political office holder must align with the new executives to consolidate the achievements of our great party and ensure continued dominance across the state,” the statement concluded.
