Oyo State has submitted a list of proposed new local government areas to Nigeria’s National Assembly, reflecting growing demands for decentralization and grassroots governance.

This move is part of a broader effort to create more local governments and bring governance closer to the people. The National Assembly is currently reviewing requests for 59 states and 278 LGAs.
