Saki Parapo to IPMAN: Put Community first, avoid fuel price hike

The Saki Parapo Association has appealed to the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to prioritize community interests and maintain current fuel prices amid the NUPENG strike.

The association under the watch of Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, emphasized that a price hike would harm the community’s growing reputation as an investor-friendly hub.

In a statement signed by the Secretary, Dr. Ismail Adewoyin, the group expressed concerns that a fuel price hike could discourage investment and place unnecessary hardship on residents. “As Saki emerges as a new destination for the Federal Government’s economic drive, we anticipate an influx of foreign investors. We must showcase our hospitality and friendly disposition to visitors,” the statement read.

The association called on IPMAN members to prioritize humanity and community interest above immediate profit, stressing that such a gesture would strengthen Saki’s growing reputation as a hub for economic development. “We believe this gesture will contribute to Saki’s growing reputation as a welcoming and investor-friendly community,” Adewoyin stated.
