As the holy month of Ramadan enters its season of deep spiritual introspection, prominent Islamic scholar Sheikh Abdrofii Oloko has delivered a powerful reminder to the Ummah: no human interference can derail a destiny ordained by Allah.
Speaking at a well-attended Ramadan Tafsir session, the cleric emphasized that success is a divine script that no mortal can rewrite. “Nobody can stop your destiny if it has been ordained that you will be successful,” the Sheikh declared, offering a message of hope to those facing opposition in their personal or professional lives.
However, the scholar was quick to point out that divine destiny often travels through the vehicle of parental blessings. He argued that the secret to “becoming rich in life” is not found solely in hard work, but in being “magnanimous and generous” to one’s parents.
Citing moving, real-life accounts, Sheikh Oloko explained that the silent prayers and past sacrifices of parents act as a spiritual reservoir for their children. “The good that parents have done in the past speaks volumes in the lives of their children today,” he noted, urging the youth to prioritize family unity and the cultivation of good virtues at home.
In a direct appeal to elders, the Sheikh urged parents and caregivers to maintain a “forgiving spirit.” He warned that harboring bitterness or withholding forgiveness can create invisible barriers to a child’s progress.
